Our little Gioco, or affectionately called Gio, has now been living with us for 10 weeks. The wild first few weeks are slowly giving way to an exciting everyday routine.

Our journey to owning a Lagotto Romagnolo began with the dream of having our own truffle trees. How do you actually collect and find them? With a Lagotto, of course! But how do you find the best breeder? In my opinion, it's a matter of trusting your heart. How does the owner care for the dogs and truly encourage them in what they love? And how transparent can such a breeder really be? We wanted to be involved from the very beginning, to see how our new companion grows up and how well cared for they are. We found all of this with Nadine and Carsten. From the very start, we were included in every single step imaginable. Watching the puppies grow up, with all their funny little quirks, was magical. You count the days and hours... but being able to see the little nuggets all the time and observe their development keeps you so engrossed that the time flies by.

And once the little treasure has finally moved in, the support doesn't end there, of course. Puppy playdates, grooming classes, or truffle hunting – Nadine is always the right person to talk to and keeps the whole gang together. Fantastic, isn't it? Exactly what a responsible dog lover is looking for! For Nadine, dogs aren't commodities or a means to an end, but full-fledged family members. Looking back, we couldn't have made a better choice, and we're so happy to be on this journey with Nadine and Carsten – because it doesn't end with the handover. We're looking forward to the next few years with our treasure, Gio, and a responsible, helpful breeder with heart and soul! Who knows, maybe we'll get more than one Lagotto – who can resist those curls? ;)

Dear Nadine, Dear Carsten,

Little Gaeta has now been living with us for a week and we can't imagine our lives without her!
I have been following your breeding program on Instagram since your A-litter, having become aware of it through the photos in the Mc Nuggets boxes, and have always said that if I ever get another Lagotto, I would prefer to get it from you!
We hadn't expected it to happen so quickly. After we had somewhat overcome the shock of our dog's far too early death, it became quite clear that a life without a Lagotto is possible, but pointless for us…
It was immediately clear: if we were to have puppies, they would most likely be from you! A quick look at your website and your planned litter with two females, Armani and Borea, was in order.
The application was written quickly, we spoke on the phone immediately afterwards, and a few days later we met in person.
Then we had to wait for the girls to come into heat. Armani was the first, Borea followed four weeks later, then the call came that we would be getting a puppy from one of the litters.
From then on, we were overjoyed and eagerly awaited the pregnancies, and then came the first birth: Armani gave birth to 5 puppies. And a day later, the call that we were part of this litter!
We were able to follow everything 24/7 via the webcam,
A huge thank you for this! We were then able to visit the puppies twice, and at that point we didn't yet know which one would be coming home with us, but it didn't matter, they were all so adorable! And then, just before the third visit, we got the call that little Gaeta would be joining our family!
She's been with us for a week now and we're so happy with our little darling! Thank you for this wonderful treasure!!!

Thank you for your trust in us and for confiding us with Fjella. Already at the first phone call, which was about the allergy of Boris, we had the feeling that you were in good hands as a breeder. This continued while getting to know you in Marl and later while visiting the puppies. As a first-time dog candidate, we had a lot of questions. And none of them were too unimportant for you to answer. Your passion for the Lagotti and its breeding is evident in your great puppies and your great knowledge of this wonderful breed.
Now Fjella is already 6 months old and raging through our lives and we are grateful that she enriches our lives. As a companion on our hikes (and hopefully later also on the water), as a cuddly partner when you come from school or just like that, if she greets you again and again as if you had been away for centuries (although you only got something from the cellar). 
For those who are considering getting a dog out of your breeding, we can only say: go for it! We can recommend Nadine and Carsten and their dogs from the heart.

There are moments in life when you can just be grateful – and this one is definitely one of them. With Tino I got not only a dog, but a real friend and soul companion. He makes something special every day.

For a long time I have been eager to finally have a dog in my life again. In 2025, it was finally time. The decision of which dog and what breed it should be, I have made carefully. For me, it was clear that it should be a puppy from a good breeder – a dog with which to “steal horses” and who is ready for any adventure. It was also important to me that he gets along with my two cats and can also lie in Savasana for two hours while I give my yoga classes. I wanted a real life companion.

With Tino I got exactly the dog I wanted:
• He is always the first to lie on the yoga mat – often on the mats of my students 😊
• Tino is a real cat whisperer. If the three are on the sofa, I have to go to the basket 😉
• He takes every trip relaxed – whether in the car, in the bicycle trailer or in the mountain railway.
• With other dogs, he gets along excellently and shows his best friend Paquita, a fear dog, life at its best.
• When dealing with children, it behaves intuitively just right.
• In the home office, Tino lies relaxed under the table or looks dreamily out of the window.
• And I don’t want to miss the cuddly sessions in the morning in bed

That all this works so wonderfully, I owe it essentially to you, dear Nadine and dear Carsten. Your puppies grow up in a loving home, are familiarized with life from the beginning and carefully selected for the new dog parents. Even as a “dog mother” I feel in good hands with you at any time, because I can come to you with every question and every problem.

Tino is a gift that enriches my life and makes me smile again every day. Thank you for your devotion, your love for the discipline and for trusting me with this extraordinary companion. I couldn't wish for a better companion.

Life is full of surprises and unexpected moments.
After 5 years of dog abstinence, my husband surprised me with the consideration of bringing a dog back into our lives.
In search of a suitable breed for us we came across the very informative homepage of Nadine.
After a visit to Nadine and Carsten and getting to know your two Lagotti, we felt encouraged to enrich our lives with a Lagotto-Romagnolo.
Nadine and Carsten were immediately sympathetic to us – also because they share the same hobby as we do.
And then in life you take detours, which was certainly due to my impatience and our inexperience with the breed and the acquisition of a puppy.
 It was not yet clear when Maple will get her heat again and how many puppies would probably be born. Thus, it came to pass by chance that a Lagotto puppy named Alou moved in with us on 06.03.2022. In the following time, Nadine and Carsten have always helped us with our questions. A huge help for us was the single grooming of Alou, which was completed with Nadine, where we learned how to cut a Lagotto properly. We kept a more intense contact and Nadine accompanied me on the way to admitting Alou as a breeding dog and mastering exhibitions.
 We are particularly happy that Nadine and Carsten had decided to take Alou as stud dogs for their D-litter with Maple.
So on 13.08.2023 8 healthy puppies were born and in us the thought of taking another male matured. So on 07.10.2023 our Hearts nugget moved in with us. It was a special experience to get the growing up of the puppies so intensely, because a web cam showed us every day the development of the nuggets from the puppy box as well as later from the garden. We were very happy that we could visit the Nuggets several times in Marl. We are thrilled with what Nadine and Carsten do with the nuggets and build for the nuggets to prepare them for life in the best possible way. This also includes the essence test, which is also a help to us in dealing with Duka, our nugget. For, though a family, father and son are very different in nature.
The two are a heart and a soul and Duka just the right second dog for us.

Dear Nadine, dear Carsten,

You two and of course your Maple have given us the little Diario. We already have a logotto from another breed and wanted a second logotto with which we go through life together. Since we could not get a second puppy from the first breeding (breeding was initially set), we made our way after a new breeding. I came across your website and had a good gut feeling. This good feeling has been completely confirmed, because we were very well taken from the beginning and always informed about the current state of pregnancy and then also the puppies. We were almost live at the birth and cheered on which puppies Maple gave birth to. Via the webcamp we could see how loving Maple was in the rearing of the young. You have always informed us when you have done something new with the puppies and have made very transparent which puppies you have intended for whom. That was the most convincing thing for us about the breeding that you determined which puppy suits whom. And Diario is a perfect fit for us. It is very solid and rests in itself, which is very good with our big one, which comes fast on tours. He is very courageous and goes through the world openly, but he learns very quickly, of course also nonsense, how after eating he abducts the food bowl, if you are not fast enough and secure him. It is nice that we already had a first meeting with some of his siblings and their new families in your garden. It was so nice to see how the little rackers developed, somehow you always have the feeling that we are a member of the D-Nugget family. It is great that you are also after the delivery of the puppies with advice and deeds and always cheers how it goes on with us.
All in all, we not only got a great puppy, but also met a lot of nice people, especially you two.

“Bacinchen” (as Nadine always affectionately called him) was the surprise of the year for us!

Four years after our first female mayan had to leave us after a short serious illness, we applied to Nadine and Carsten for a puppy in February this year.
 For some time we have been following the adventures of East and Maple with the A-Nuggets. We stated in the application that we want a puppy for 2023, because at home there were still some renovation work, which we did not want to expect any puppy.
A short time later we phoned Nadine for the first time and a long wait began. At least we thought so 😉.
“Unexpectedly comes often”!

We were eagerly following Maple’s pregnancy with the B-nuggets and in April Nadine surprisingly contacted us with the news that a planned puppy family had jumped off due to illness. If we wanted to, we could already get a nugget this year, provided there would be 9 puppies born.
After that, the emotional chaos finally started!!
 All plans were thrown over the top and the dog moved to the fore for us!

Three weeks after the exciting birth, we were able to visit the gold pieces for the first time. Fortunately, it was nine!
 We melted away, of course, punching Nadine with 1000 questions.
Two weeks later, the second visit was on and the curiosity grew, which puppy it would be.
Nadine remained steadfast and convinced us with her plan to assign us the right dog at short notice after the outstanding character test.
Long speech.... it was “Bacino – the kiss!

On 12.7.22 we picked him up. We were the first “pickups” and it was very emotional 🥲.
He was the quietest, most relaxed puppy of the litter and these were exactly our wishes.

“Bruno” Bacino, as we call him briefly (brown kissing), is actually a heart. All the family, neighbors, friends love him.
He is very tender, relaxed, curious, eager to learn and courageous with a decent portion of “naughtiness” that comes to light in the game and in contact with other dogs.

Nevertheless, the washing machine runs continuously, all toys are now invalid and we have lost a few kilos from many stairs to the garden, we love the cuddly nugget and enjoy the puppy time!

We are very proud to have received such a well socialized, positive, beautiful dog from this breeding.

A very heartfelt thank you to Nadine and Carsten, who are always on hand, even on a sailing holiday, with advice and answer.

Time flies and Rino has been living with us for 4 weeks now! Thankful for this new adventure, which started for us even before it arrived, we are looking forward to the future and everything we can still experience together!
It all started with an intense phone call in which we were able to get a first impression of each other. Despite the removal, we were able to be there from the beginning via pictures, videos and the puppy cam. The excitement increased from day to day and our two visits further reinforced the anticipation! With advice and many tips even before Rino ́s move in, Nadine and Carsten have helped us and still have an open ear for emerging questions. We wanted a whirlwind and now we can say that this wish has been fulfilled! Rino is very open-minded, eager to learn and stormy, but tackles the unknown with a low-key curiosity. He has mastered his first hours as an office dog with flying colors and wraps everyone, whether neighbors, walkers or colleagues with his Italian charm around his finger ;)
We are curious what the future brings us and are happy to make the mountains and the lake uncertain with it! Nadine and Carsten have laid the best foundation for all this with their enthusiasm and loving puppy room!

On 5.5. it was finally time.
 Also at the 2. Dogs are excited again and the regular visits to the litter, which Nadine and Carsten, Corona made possible despite, were something else: today Ancora Gemma comes with us, today a wish comes true – Ancora una volta una cagna! Another dog girl😊
Nadine never tired of providing us with daily posts and countless photos over the first 8.9 weeks – apart from the many little films to raise awareness, socialization, tips on caring for and dealing with a Lagotto.
 Via webcam we could participate as often as we wanted (and our network allowed it) to the rearing and development of the Minis – it was already part of the day to just look at what the little ones do.
We could not be prepared better. That's all we could give us and the dogs on the way. This is pure passion and passion! –
Now Ancora Gemma has been with us for 2 months
Where did this time go, what do we not want to do without again?
Wake up in the morning and immediately look into these beautiful brown eyes, who look at you and ask “are you okay?”, the morning cuddly sessions, without which nothing works anymore. The constant, attentive look back on the sparrow passages through the field, forest and meadow: “Are you still there, I am waiting for you”?” The mischievous look from the corner of your eye with some toy in the catch: “Now you finally play with me, I’m on it now!” ...
A life without a dog is stupid, my husband said after almost 2 years without. How right he was - life has a dog rhythm again so quickly. And this Lagotto didn't make it difficult for you in any second. Gemma is a cheerful, balanced dog girl who learns quickly, already has his own head – but never tests him unduly. It can be easily introduced to everything, is sometimes cautious, but not unduly anxious and has already gained a lot of self-confidence in the 2 months. There was also not yet a human or dog encounter, which did not go off without any problems. She subordinates herself if necessary and has very quickly out what goes and what better not.
 Gemma has quickly developed into a travel dog, accompanies us everywhere with us – would like to jump into the car box alone – legs are still too short –, accompanies us in the trailer on bicycle tours and in the backpack while hiking.
 Through Nadine’s home office, the puppies got to know early on that people work at the table and and lays down sleeping below it – super preliminary work for the dog scenario in the office 😊 Works wonderfully – and when dad is bored, just look and just in the other rooms briefly in the trash, or whether a hand comes down to pet, i.e. and ensures fantastic “room climate”
You can’t put into words in the studio, this is better to represent visually – she is quite a creative dog child and creative children should be allowed to work – we let her understand her quickly, when work is done, I have to be calm or occupy myself and conjures up a smile on our faces again and again in this way!
